Day 03 : Nainital - Mukteshwar (51kms)-NainitalDrive to Mukteshwar ,this beautiful place is 2286 mts in altitude. Surrounded by fruit orchards and thick coniferous forest it was developed by the Britishers as research and education institute (IVRI) in 1893. It is the celebrated scenic spot overlooking long ranges of Himalaya. Also visit Chauli ki Jaali, a wind swept hole in the rock face, Shiva Temple, PWD lawns which offer a breathtaking view of the higher himalayan range and peaks such as Trishul, Nanda Devi and Panchachuli. Day 04 : Nainital - Haridwar (240kms/6-7hrs)Drive to Haridwar, lying at the feet of Shiva s hills, i.e., Shivaliks, in the Haridwar district of Uttaranchal Pradesh, is a doorway. Suryavanshi prince Bhagirath performed penance here to salvage the souls of his ancestors who had perished due to the curse of sage Kapila. Thepenance was answered and the river Ganga trickled forth forms Lord Shiva s locks and its bountiful water revived the sixty thousand sons of king Sagara. In the traditional of Bhagirath, devout Hindus stand in the sacred waters here, praying for salvation of their departed elder. It is doorway to the sources of the Ganga and the Yamuna, 3000 to 4500 meters up into the snowy ranges of the central Himalayas. Arrive Haridwar, Transfer to your Hotel. Later you can visit various temples across the town. Then, proceed to Har ki Pauri, on the ghats of the cool waters of the River Ganga. Later witness the evening Aarti of the Holy River Ganga.
